RAF Dakota KN633

Hi
My name is Shaharom Ahmad and i’m from Malaya Historical Group (MHG). A couple few years ago, we discovered a plane that match record with missing RAF Dakota C-47 bearing registration number KN633. She came from RAF 110Sq based at Sungao Besi, Kuala lumpur. She went down when searching for a missing Spitfire TP231 on November 12, 1948 with all in board killed. Several rescue attempted have been made after her crashed but due to unknown reason, the crews who killed did not recovered and buried as other military casualties during the Malayan Emergency. I believed the crews were buried near the wreckage due to safety reason for the rescue operation. The crews were listed no known grave at Terendak Memorial and CWGC databse.

I would like to know if you all can trace down the families of the crews who killed on KN633. I asked several times to Sue Raftree from JCCC and AHB but none replied so far. I would like to established contact with NOKs and requested that the crews need to be recovered and get fair proper treatment to buried them with military honors and not to leave them root in the jungle. Quite ashamed to treat them when they were killed served to the country.

The crews :
Squadron Leader D.K.*Hayes
Sign.II N.*Tyson
Nav.II F.*White
Flight Lieutenant P.G.*Ballard
Major R. Q. Gaitley (Kings Regiment)

Current situation that major scrap activities have been took place. Most of the parts were removed but few left at the crashed site including the buried remains. The plane still in a deep jungle but future development would catch up soon.
