Has anyone ever come across details of an Allied Forces Military Museum at Stickford, in Lincolnshire?
I’ve tried the normal search channels but I’ve drawn a blank.
Thanks in anticipation. 🙂

Welcome to the forum Matt and thank you for taking the time to reply to my enquiry – I’m sorry to hear what has happened to the collection.
The information that you have provided answers one of several questions relating to a research project over in Lincolnshire that I’m personally involved with, so it has been very useful to my research. If the collection had still been in existence then in might have featured in a forthcoming publication.

Hello there TwinOtter,
The Allied Forces Military Museum in Stickford was liquidated several years ago after the curator, Ivan Houldershaw, fell seriously ill and was unable to maintain the collection. Ivan passed away in 2012 and the remaining items in the collection are being sold on to museums and private collectors around the UK.
I do still have some aviation equipment/memorabilia and I may be contacting the Newark Air Museum in the foreseeable future in the hopes of finding it a place where it will be appreciated.
On a positive note it’s nice to hear it mentioned, sorry you missed it.
Regards,
Matt
