Norwegian newspaper, Adresseavisen, is reporting that the wreck of an He115 has been found in a fresh water lake in mid Norway. This link takes you to the article in the paper which is written in Norwegian but has good underwater video footage of the wreckage which looks in pretty good condition. http://www.adressa.no/nyheter/sortrondelag/article8191619.ece
The He115 was lost in 1940 and was recently discovered in lake Limingen in mid norway. It had made a forced landing, possibly due to technical problems, and was set alight by the crew. They were captured by norwegian troops, and spent the rest of the war as pows. After a few days, the plane sank through the ice. Although the main section was burned, large parts of wings and tail section have been located.

Interesting find! I am holding out hope that they can find an intact Short Stirling!
