WW2 RAF aircraft wireless/radio racks

Can anyone help ID what wireless set this tray/rack held? When I first saw it I thought it could have mounted a R1155, but it is actually too small for this. The dimensions are 46 x 21.5cm.

Interestingly, it seems to match the wooden remains of a Whitley VII wireless mount I have. The anti-vibration mounts are identical and are spaced at exactly the same width apart. It looks like the steel rack would fit directly onto the wooden mount.

I’d also be interested see racks for other wireless sets including the R1155 and T1154 – it might be a useful reference. I have 2 other spare steel racks identical to the one in the pics if anyone needs one.

Thanks for that – the Whitley would have had an ASV set – it’s possible it would have fitted this rack…

If its approximately 8″x18″ then they hold most common electronic aircraft equipment like IFF and Gee/H2S indicators.
