Good Afternoon to all,
I would be glad for your feedback about my recent idea.
We are vintage aircrafts colectors and we are occasionally flying to airshows and fly-ins around the Europe. All our pieces are based on fractional ownership model.
Last year I had a desire to contact more airshows and fly-ins, to let them know about us and maybe reach some deals about our air display and getting fuel cost covered for it or other exchange of values.
First of all we needed “Display Authorization Certificate“, which wasn’t big deal. One just have to prove the he can handle his airplane.
Subsequently I spend descent amount of winter evenings by searching through the internet and creating database of all airshows and fly-ins around the Europe with attention to contact informations included.
I also set up a website and facebook page for our aircrafts. Than I launched email and facebook campaign with our newsletter saying something like:
“As part of our summer journeys with our beautiful aircraft we would love to come to your air show, We are open to became part of your program. In case of your interest we are quite thankful for fuel coverage”
Amount of responses war just incredible and I was really surprised with resultes I’ve been given.
So the point is, as I have this “database” already, I would love to help similar people with such thing. Target “client” is probably private aircraft owner (maybe warbirds as well). And can cover all things with internet (websites, social sites) and send email campaigns to the air shows.
I’ve been told that there are already “huge networks of websites and orgainsations doing this sort of thing.” But nobody gave me any particular example. Except “The British Air Display Association.”
If so, maybe as an individual I can focus on some aspects which “big corporations” can’t cover. Individual approach maybe?
Have you got any experience with such a thing? Any advice?
Thank You very much
Libor Smolik

That’s too bad.
Even as a museum exhibit it would be appreciated. At the very least a cockpit.
We should not be scrapping rare 50 year old airframes.
It’s been lovingly dismantled with a disc-cutter. :apologetic: What a shame….

Gentlemen,
thank you very much for welcome.
First of all I would like to correct this misunderstanding; I do live in England.
My father is Czech and this project was for his collection. As for me, I do study Oxford Aviation Academy and seeking job for airlines.
This particular case is mainly about England. I wouldn’t say it’s a business. I just think it would be sorrow to use these resources
just for myself. Better to help somebody else with the same thing as well. If I get compensate for it. Well …
By the way english Aero 145; where is it now? Does anybody know the owner? If so, I can manage spare parts for him . . .
Thank you very much.

Hi Libor, and welcome!
Love the website, really stylish with a great retro-feel.
We had an Aero 145 flying here, but it had a rather bad accident and may not fly again. I am sure that as enthusiasts rather than a business, you will be accommodated on this forum, though it has to be said, money is scarce on the airshow scene, whether you have a Vulcan or a Tiger Moth.
Anyway, best of luck, and if you can get to the UK you will be made very welcome.

well it may well be a good idea…. I don’t know………… it seems you are trying to start a business but the rules of this forum do not allow people to post seeking financial gain..if that is your aim.
