Goodjet in trouble, the story continues

According to the Swedish newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” SMI Media has requested bankrupty of Goodjet. In the article Goodjet claims “we know nothing about this”. HAHA, I doubt it and what is said on their own website:

“Alicante passengers pick-up friday the 13th Dec!
Goodjet has chartered a DC10 which will fly to Alicante and pick up passengers returning to Scandinavia.
The aircraft will fly from Murcia San Javier-flygplatsen to Göteborg where busses will be waiting for transfer to Malmö/Sturup, Oslo/Torp and Stockholm/Arlanda.

The departure is planned for 12.00 and will be landing at 15.50 (local time).

Note!
As adjustments in the timetable may happen and we recommend all passengers to be in the airport in good time as the check in procedures for this large aircraft takes longer time than usual.
The aircraft welcomes passengers that were scheduled for both wednesday and sunday.

Temporary postponement of all flight operations
10th of December, the management and Board of the Swedish low fare airline Goodjet decided to postpone all flight operations for the moment.
– We do it because we can not offer our customers a proper product at the moment, says acting CEO, Paul Gruythuysen. We do, however, expect to be back in the air not later than January 15, 2003.

All employees have been working day and night to get the flight operations working. But, finally, the management decided to postpone all further flight operations until January 15th, 2003 at the latest.

– Ever since Goodjet started early this year, our ambition has been to offer our passengers the best possible low fare ariline service. For the moment, we feel that we are not able any more to fullfil this obligation, says Paul Gruythuysen. We have therefore decided to take a temporary time out in our flight operations.

Passengers already booked on the cancelled flights are offered free reebooking to a future Goodjet flight. Moreover, they will receive a complementary ticket similar to the one they already purchased.

– The rules for reimbursement are relatively complicated, says Paul Gruythuysen, but they are to be found on our website.

The entire Goodjet staff will remain in the company, working together to take care of the passengers. At the same time, work continues with the preparation of a new time table with a sufficient fleet of aircraft.
