Maharajah of Faridkots WWII aircraft

Mentioned here:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/india/10209431/Indian-princesses-win-2.5-billion-inheritance-after-epic-battle-over-fathers-will.html

“He owned a number of Rolls Royces, military cars and several World War Two aircraft kept at his 22 acre aerodrome.”

Does anybody know what they are and if they still exist? He died in 1989 so there would seem to be a good chance of them still being extant.

I wonder what else lies behind hidden doors in the sub-continent……….

There’s meant to be large lumps of Wapiti in Thiruvanantapuram University but I know two people who work there and they haven’t been able to find anything.

I have seen photos of a Percival Proctor, a Fairchild F24 and a Stinson Sentinel in the Maharajah’s hangar, but all are little more than wreckage. He also owned VT-CTQ Miles Gemini VT-CTQ (ex G-AKKD, I think) which is listed with the Maharaja Khewaji Trust but I havn’t seen that machine.

And, inevitably, there have been rumours of Spitfires in crates.
