Prairie pieces

Working in Canada at the moment and heard about an old aircraft near where I’m staying. Went to look and found this an Anson. I initially thought the cowls and the engine that’s left (A Jacobs) weren’t from this aircraft. When I got back and checked I found the Canadian Anson’s had Jacobs and even 985 Pratts. The cowls on Anson’s I’m used to seeing have bumps around the outside for the Cheetah cylinders. The farmer said take what you like so I grabbed a cowl. It’s in pretty good nick with just a few little dints. There must have been lots of stuff around after the war.

Student pilot, if the farmer has any wing to fuselage fairing panels in decent shape, I know a group that would be very interested to talk to you!

Doubt much was in decent shape besides the cowls.

I’m surprised with all the Anson and Oxford stuff kicking around in Canada, that none has an airworthy example there. 🙁
