Hi
Help required on this photo please.
Aircraft type, DH82? What where and when?
Picture taken in the 1940s I think possibly Broughton Astley Leicestershire.
Several training airfields nearby, Bitteswell, Bruntingthorpe, Desford.

Thanks
Jeff.

Could the brevet be from their fathers and worn to remember them?
ATC cadets would surely have been older than these chaps appear to be, besides if 1940 they would be ADCC (Air Defence Cadet Corps) as the ATC was formed in 1941. 😉

The fuselage structure, undercarriage and wheels indicate it is (or was!) almost certainly a DH82 Tiger Moth. Mike

Sorry I don’t know what type of aircraft it is. The lad on the right looks like he has a navigators brevet on his blazer.

Hi, yes, I hadn’t noticed that, looking closer the lad 2nd from left is wearing one as well, maybe a school uniform or ATC.
