Mostly Staverton, mid 1960s

In the mid 60s over a number of visits to the Skyfame museum at Staverton, I took some B&W photos that may be of interest to Forumers. Ones taken inside the hangar came out poorly, being underexposed and shaky. I filed them away thinking I might have another go at them sometime. In the meantime computer technology has come along and now nearly 50 years later I have now tried scanning them. Mostly they looked even worse when scanned. Only one of the inside shots was anywhere near usable, as below.

At one point the Smith’s Industries Varsity came trundling past. It was impressive only a few yards away.

There was also a late mark Anson parked out on the airfield. Here is an enlargement that only goes to show that you cannot reveal detail that was not there in the image in the first place.
