Speke Aviation Fair This Sunday 30 Jun 2013

If you are at a loose end this Sunday the 30th and fancy an inexpensive day out with the family, the Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group are holding an Aviation Fair at the old Liverpool Airport Terminal (Now the Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport).

SatNavvers need to use L24 8QD

Lots of attractions including our collection of aircraft, visiting cockpit displays, vintage transport, funfair, the all important aerojumble and plenty more to see and do.

Gates open at 1000

Just loading the van up now as my contribution to the aerojumble side of things.

Cut up a few butties and I’m good to go!

Hope the day is a roaring success!

Busy day setting up for tomorrow. The weather forecast is looking good and everything is set for a cracking day, so if you are in the area why not pop across for an hour or two?

I’ll be there with Aggie Paggie along with Pully113 and his Tornado – plus a few other visiting cockpits including a “secret” (well, it is to me, anyway!) Liverpool Harrier cockpit.

It’s always a good day with a variety of aircraft and other attractions. A great site too, overlooking the Mersey and the scene of much aviation activity in the eighty years of its existence. Refreshments on the apron or, if you prefer a bit more style, in the hotel itself (the old Liverpool Airport Terminal building). And for the missus there’s the Speke Retail Park just across the road;)

The weather’s looking very promising too:)
