I’ve just re-discovered an old Modern Boy Album of Up-to-Date Aeroplanes from 1930. The second entry is for the Westland Wizard which I have googled and found some info on. However the serial no. on the picture in the book
reads J-9172 which seems to belong to a Fairey IIIF. Of course it is possible that the publication is not particularly accurate but it set me wondering what was the serial of the Wizard? Can anyone tell me?
