North Weald 22/6/13. A visit to this airfield today for the Air Britain Fly-in found various warbirds in action although not directly connected to the fly-in itself.
Both the Hanger 11 P.51 and P.40 both had display slots at todays Manston Show
Their Spitfire was outside the hanger briefly
Whilst elsewhere on the airfield the RNHF SeaFury returned from Manston
The based Skyraider was ‘outside for a smoke’ !!!
The Jet Provost was local flying
–and the Huey arrived.

The B25s take off at Manston reminded me of the Dutch air force Fokker Friendship display of old…..

Indeed I recall a very similar picture of ‘Big Bad Bonnie’ in an Aircraft Illustrated in the early 1980s!

Nice to see the Dutch B25 doing its “Jeff Hawke” departure. Just like the old days…

A few further pictures from North Weald today 23/6/13.
Sea Fury G-RNHF was active again with some synchronized marshalling
– and subsequently departing back to Yeovilton
The Dutch B.25 dropped in en route back to Holland from Manston ( Picture just needs a Photoshop Banana expert !!!)
Its departure was as spectacular as it looks here !

I think you will find that G-HUEY does not belong to Kennet or has ever done.
