DRAWINGS TAKEN TO SCOTLAND FOR SAFE KEEPING ?

Some years ago, one of the curators at Brooklands told me that sets of manufacturing drawings for aircraft & aeroengines, were sent to somewhere in Scotland for safe keeping during WW2, so as to provide a back up incase those in the factories were destroyed by bombing etc. Does anyone know if this is true, & if so, where in Scotland were they sent to, & is there a chance that they still survive ?.
