I was working through some of my fathers photographs and found one from the mid 60’s of a merchantman he was on as an Engineer – The Benrinnes a Ben Line ship.
A bit of digging showed that its first incarnation was as a WW2 RN Aircraft Carrier and was used to bring Corsairs etc. for use by RN. She also took Firefly aircraft to Ceylon.
