Any more news?

Just a quick update here. She spent most of last week in the hangar.
Tuesday saw both engines making lots of blue smoke!
Back in the hangar for some more work – hopefully to grace the skies once again very soon.

Hi
very kind words newforest – very flattering.
I have been watching. Thread Starter Howard500 is helping me out at brunters and i asked him to do a little digging to see what he could find out for me.
been very busy with painting of G-BKGL and also needed to keep him busy.
that is a super pic guinness – may i use it in a futer beech restorations newsletter please – full credit of course.
lets hope someone steps up and buys this one. shame it is all part of a liquidation and no paperwork available.

Looking ready to go or maybe not. 😮
What news of the airport? Is it closed, open, sold or what?
I would have thought Philip Turland might have contributed to this thead as he probably knows more than all of us put together about Beech’s. 🙂

It has been hangared at Weston for some considerable time but was moved to external parking a few days ago.

It is still at Weston and was among the assets put up for sale when the airfield was put up for disposal over a year ago. I think there are issues with the availability of some of the aircraft’s records, which if true would no doubt complicate sale as a flyable aircraft. See this link for a report as of late 2011:

I am fairly certain I saw an ad for the sale of this Beech not so long ago. Or possibly for an auction of this and a couple of other airframes.

There’s a discussion forum there, it may repay you to repost your question there also. By the way, the accompanying picture is not current but dated 1996. The most recent picture I can find online is dated 5 Sep 2009:![]()
