Yes the old DC-7 is still there. I had the best light to get it late in the afternoon.

Btw : the restaurant I can only recommend if you like some real canary food is just 2 minutes away by car. Drive the road that brings you to the DC-7 further along with the direction of San Augustin. Leave at the exit “Playa de Aquillia”. Use the tunnel to go under the large road. You read a round about (surprise 😉 ). Leave it to the left so that you come to the driveway leading back to the road you just left, but going into the other direction (back to the areodrome). At the end of the driveway there is a restaurant called “Los Pescadores” (small sign only). You can park your car right in front of it, on the right side of the large road. It is surely worth a visit.

Back to spotting at LPA :

I had no problems with the security last year. They have military police patrols, normal police patrols and a civilian security company patrol. Neither seemed interesting in what we were doing.

I would recommend to stay a few metters away from the fence. And I would surely not recommend bringing a ladder.

Only the spots on the northern end of the runways ca ngie you trouble, as they are closer to the barracks of the military base.
