I was pleasantly surprised to read that a Bréguet Alizé flew in France on 18th May. The aircraft made two test flights by a former French Navy pilot.
Images and text (in French!) are here..

I’d love to see it over here, especially once the HFL Gannet is in the air too!

Always nice when people are prepared to step out of the box and restore something different.
Would also be good to see this invited to display at Yeovilton !

Is this France’s answer to the Gannet?
Yes… both were late 1950s turboprop carrier ASW aircraft that were also used in AEW and COD roles.
Alizé initial service delivery March 1959.
Gannet initial service delivery April 1954.
The Alizé didn’t have a separate AEW version, though… as the Iguane radar fitted in its early 1980s refit program was capable of air-search/track modes as well.

Its certainly as ugly! Almost as bad as the Seamew(for those that remember it)
Oh yes – how could we forget it?

Mentioning Breguet always brings to mind the Deux Ponts, now that would be a sight to see flying!

Ooh! I agree . They would make a great airshow pairing.
