Help needed with part numbers for various cockpit fixtures and fittings.

All,

I’ve been trying to identify some instruments and associated components based on photographs and I’m a bit stuck. Was wondering if anyone can help me out with A.M. part numbers and info.

Mark VII A pitot head
I believe this was fitted to Tiger Moths as well as others. Looking for details, pictures, etc. that could be used to make a non-flying mock-up for a static display. I think the static head was fitted below it and could do with details of that too.

Cockpit Panel Lamp
I’m looking to confirm if the 5C/366 later Bakelite model is the one that came with the knurled knob on the end. I’ve only seen the metal ones with the flat end.

Type “B” Switch
I’ve been staring at a wiring diagram which seems to show a lot of switches marked as “Type B” with what appears to be two upper connecting terminals and one lower. Would this match with a 5C/543? I’ve only ever seen the front of them never the back.

Fusebox for 8 fuses with clips
Looking for a part number of an 8 fuse version of 5CZ/883. I’ve seen the type with three brass screws holding the lid on but in the picture I’m looking at it’s the clip type with side clips and single centre screw.

Pneumatic Air System Tanks
Apart from 6D/483 I don’t know part numbers for any A.M air tanks. Is there a standard tank maybe half as large again as the 6D/483 that is rated to hold at least 200lb/sq” pressure? Also could the 6D/483 hold that pressure?

TR9D/TR9K remote control
Looking for a part number for the remote control unit that uses teleflex cables to control the TR9 radio.

Thanks for any/all help.

Bellarine that would be helpful, especially if they show details of the head. The plan is to make a mock-up so a good reference of the pressure and static heads would be handy.

I’ve got some pics of a Mark IV A Pitot head only but if that helps happy to put up – they were certainly fitted to Tiger Moths

Cockpit lamp 5c/366, had at least 3 different tops, one was all metal with a small knurled knob on the top, one was all metal, with a knurled edged flat top, the other had a flat topped, chunky bakelite top.

What aircraft type are you making a mock up of ?.

Mk VIIa Pitot Head – 6a/432
Cockpit Lamp – All 5C/366
Type B – According to Air Ministry’s bible all AM bakelite toggle switches were Type B, the Sect Ref changed dependent on the no of switches in the assy
Fuse box Type G – 5C/886

Don’t know the last 2 I’m afraid

John
