Can anyone ID these carburettor spares?

A long shot maybe, but I’m wondering if anyone recognises the widgets in the attached photo?

The Stores Ref. is 37C/64510. One is engraved 04335 SU 68, another one 04335 SVD31.

H20 – DH and 1586 can just about be made out on a very grubby stores tag attached to the bag that contains the 65 similar parts(!)

Treasure or junk? 🙂

Ah yes, forgotten about the 45 etc. Stand corrected.

@dairwin.
Do you know if it was the same on the AVT32? I can`t remember. The drawing in the manual looks much the same.
It`s also used on another series of Merlins altogether, I bet you can`t work out which!

AVT40; Merlin, but not Spitfire 😉

Spitfire V, Merlin 45 & similar versions.

Thanks for the replies!

AVT 40 Carb, eh? As used on MERLIN and SPITFIRE? 😎

Well, the distinct lack of PMs in my Inbox suggests they’re not going to set the SPITFIRE/MERLIN restoration world aflame, so anyone interested in 65 novelty key rings? :eagerness:

I’d have one for the aeroplane keys please! I think that’s an excellent use, sadly it’s a Lycoming O-320 and not a Merlin but hey, the fuel burn is better….. PM sent.

Don’t recognise them specifically, AM, but they look like the needles from needle valves to me.

SU probably denotes Skinners Union – the carb’ manufacturer’s name, but you have probably worked that one out for yourself.

Hopefully, Merlin Pete will be along soon and put us out of our misery.

Anon.
