Is there anything happening around the world to mark the 70th Anniversary of the air raid on the Ruhr Dams by No. 617 Squadron next Friday?
The only two things I am aware of is the Air Force Museum of New Zealand is placing a new temporary display into their museum at Wigram, Christchurch.
And the Museum of Transport and Technology in Auckland, along with the New Zealand Bomber Command Association, will be hosting two screenings of the 1954 feature film The Dam Busters on Friday 17th of May.
Is anything taking place in the UK or elsewhere?

There is, I think, some sort of ceremony/re-enactment to take place at Scampton on Friday. A colleague of mine was asking if anybody knew where a black Labrador dog could be “borrowed”!! I know no more. Perhaps RAF Scampton might know??
