Just returned from 2 weeks in Cambodia and can highly recommend it. Flew in to Ho chi Minh City and had a very jet lagged afternoon to make a brief visit to the war Remnants Museum, before heading into Cambodia. This was my first time up close to a Skyraider, what a beast! Obviously a bit of paint wouldn’t go a miss…

The journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh crossed the Mekong river, where The Killing Fields was filmed and also visited the Genocide Museum and Killing Fields whilst in Phnom Penh. A particularly sobering experience, especially when it all happened so recently.
Any way, Cambodia is an amazing place, the people are great and it’s good value when you are there. Go there before too many people discover it!

I was there some years ago. It was pretty basic then.
The main thing to remember, at that time, was to walk behind and directly in the footsteps of your local guide.
That way you avoided the possibility of an unintentional meeting with a landmine.
I do have some aviation photos from that time, Cessna A37s seemed to predominate.
Cambodia was a lot more welcoming than Viet Nam, as I remember it.
