James Percival Flemng

Hi All,
Time for the researchers please.
I recently attended a wedding at a small church near Daventry and saw this memorial plaque on the wall, which got me wondering on the circumstances around this entry, specifically the RAF entry as he is the only one.
According to the CWGC site he was Leading Aircraftman W.Op./Air Gnr. U/T (Under Training?). Service number 746992, Date of Death 4/10/1940 age 26. (http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/2949704/FLEMING,%20JAMES%20PERCIVAL)
Nothing remarkable it appears and probably one of thousands who died this way but no less respected and remembered for his sacrifice.

Can anyone dig up any information on what he was flying in and the circumstances of the (presumed) crash?
