Sorry to post another parts I.D. request but I am stuck and would appreciate any help from those with expert knowledge unlike my self
I have a box containing several items which I believe are from a Hurricane. Obviously the Rudder pedal speaks for itself but I don’t know what the other items are or what purpose they serve.
Many thanks

Hi Tony
Yes the item is made of ally

Just seen this, as mst have said: Left to Right
Top row – Mk2 Rudder Pedal, not sure, then end lugs (look undrilled) no scale but appear to be the various brace end forks making up the rear fuselage (until elevator) in region of tail wheel/oleo.
Middle row – Halfway down the tube E-F (port and starboard) is an ally block that holds the cross tube that the lower seat mounts fit – at the back goes a lug (you have several) which attaches to tube going to JtH (see piccie). The other pic look like wing pin/bolts.
Bottom row – looks familar need to think, ally end fitting that goes on the rear of each of the two parallel control mounts – through the hole goes the pivot for the elevator bell crank. The one on right could be the top clamp of the oleo mount – is it ally?

Instead of plans, I quick flip through Melvyn Hiscock’s book on the Hurricane Inside and Out might produce what you need.
Centre left could be from a joint connection at the rear of the seat. Alternatively, depending on size (difficult to make out from the photo), they could be the small attachment points that are fed through the securing rivets on one of the rear fuselage joints.
Each of the Hurricane pieces will have a part number stamped on it. Listing those for each photo might draw out more detail from forum members.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone got any plans or diagrams for the rudder items in situ as identified.
The items in the photo’s in the centre and bottom left seem like weights as they have a dome top but a hole at the bottom with a screw thread. I don’t see how they can connect to anything because of the dome top.

Top right, middle and bottom left are all tube ends of various sizes and fork/solid ends.
Most of the tubes in the Hurricane were designed to allow semi skilled labour to produce precision components.
A tube was jig cut to length. One end of a tube was “squared”, drilled and fitted with tubular through rivet.
Now it was placed into a jig, the squared end bolted down and the other end capped with the tube end. This was left loose until the fork end bolted to the jig setting the length. Finally through bolts/ tubular rivets fixed the tube end to the tube.
Perfect length tubes to tolerance every time.
Worcs Aviation is correct, middle bottom is the tube end for the lengthwise tubes that the complete rudder pedal assembly and foot trays sits on. The hole takes the cross tube that the stick linkage/elevator horn pivots on.
Bottom right could be a number of items but looks like the top casting for the screw jack/starwheel combination for rudder pedal position adjustment.
Regards
Ross

centre bottom pic is rudder pedal mount, I think.
😉
