Vulcan XM603.. final move

Good to see her moving again albeit with aid of a tug…
It sounds like she is in for alot of TLC and pampering in her new location.

There was a thread on another forum about her move and the effforts on cleaning her exterior.. Some issues came up and it caused the end of discussions on her for the time being.

News has always been a bit hard to come by on 603, as indeed it can be about historic aviation in general in the North West. I believe it can still be seen from the golf course, it is down on the south side of the runway now where I think the new heritage centre is planned to be. The last I had heard 603 had been part cleaned and was starting to look much better.

The guys at the avro heritage centre are very positive about 603’s future, even if the website could be a bit better.

If you are around on a tuesday or thursday its well worth making an appointment at the heritage centre and calling in, its a fascinating way to spend an hour or so.

Used the search to find info on Woodfords Vulcan XM603. This was the latest thread, no news since 11th March, indeed not a single comment. Where has 603 been moved, I assume she is no longer visable from the golf course, but where is she parked and can she be seen or photographed from outside.
Strange that the story of XM603 seems to have ‘gone cold’ Even the thunder and lightning seach does not have up to date info and the Avro Hertiage website www.avroheritage.com does not mention her either.
