Evening all,
I was in New York this weekend so of course I had to find an aircraft museum!
The carrier is fantastic, very well kept and the displays are very good. The aircraft are a little tightly packed for good photos and there were alot of people so there maybe some shots with the odd arm or leg. The really nice thing is the back drop, amazing place…
Here are some shots

Thanks, I enquired because of the damage done by the storm they had, the inflatable cover was supposed to be hurricane proof, however they missed the point that in a hurricane the power would go off, the cover then deflate and became no longer hurricane proof, obviously repairs must been done / on the way, wondered if it was accessible again.

Tony T, the shuttle was under a big tent so couldnt see anything, I believe it will be permanantley covered over also which may look a bit funny?

SR71 nay that be a A12 there that is 😎
I was watch a blog about the Intrepid and how the museum wants all their active service aircraft in their original schemes like the skyhawk but the old curator had painted most of them in any scheme he liked.
Thanks for the pictures as well.

Nice pics. Went to NYC last year and of course went to the Intrepid. I didn’t have the blue sky for my pictures! NYC probably the best place in the world!
