Spitfire X4650 question

The C of A for X4650 says it has (uniquely for a Spit?) a ‘D’ shank hub. So, what blade design has been used? Is anyone in the know?

Thanks chaps.

Interesting.

Might see two more of those in a couple of years. Now, who has a stash of old T-28 props? 😀

Sorry, I thought that was one of the Spitfires with the new build bracket propellers, but it isn`t, it has a Hydromatic. There is a type 33D50, yes, so it could be correct. I`ll ask next time I speak to them. That engine will have had a SAE 50 shaft fitted too.

Thanks Pete. Thought it was odd.

I wonder if that is a mistake, because the propeller was manufactured from scratch, and the original pattern was a 3 blade E shank bracket job.
I’ll check and find out.
