Hi All
Would anybody like XL578 on loan with most parts to finish?? Would prefer Lincolnshire and people/parties that can give her a secure safe future so she can be finished without fear of trophy hunters unbolting bits as quick as we can fit them! Drop me a PM
Jon

One wing was certainly from Miss Demeanor when I photographed her on the Kemble dump many years ago – it was bright to say the least!

the front fuse and centre section are XL578 and one wing is XL578 but the other is currently unknown and yeah the tail is XG290 with an RAFO tail and unknown tailplane……

Ahh with you Ian ! The Wickford machine has the rear fuselage and wings off XL578. The forward fuselage and centre section of XL578 is the machine that was looking for a new home! From memory its very much a composite including the rear fuselage of XG290 -one wing from Miss Demeanor and another that escapes me of its origin!

Yeah that site does not make it clear, If you pop in “kirkstead hunter” on your google images then this machine should pop straight up!

XL578 for loan ASAP
What sort of condition is it in now and do you have all the missing parts to make up a complete airframe? All the images I can see on various sites suggest it is in need of lots of TLC,although the images all appear to be over a year old.
You suggest there has been some problems with souvenir hunters( there is the clue) Any new location without sufficient security would probably suffer the same which is something the owners of a site would need to take into consideration, especially if they have the travelling community in the area.
