In that case all I can definitively add is that on 25th February 41 the CO R L Smith flew N3319 to North Coates with Sergeant Bayliss as his gunner to partcipate in what he describes as a ‘forward Blitz aerodrome exercise’. they returned to Kirton afterwards.
He had previously flown to North Coates on the 14 feb to plan the exercise.
There are no further trips to North Coates in his logbook whilst with 255 squadron.

Thanks Jerry, thats big help, I am specifically looking for the identities of a number of Defiants that flew over to North Coates on 25/2/41 and departed to Sutton Bridge on the 27th. I think only six aircraft were involved. If you can assist even further this would be appreciated
