Ah, well, I’m down in the South West, to the north of Taunton just off the M5. A fair way from Northampton.
Don’t want anything for it, but if you have any Hunter stuff ….. always interested.:D If you can collect, you can take it away …

I have one available – it’s the very early type but isn’t perfect or new and is currently attached to a headbox for a seat, which is still attached to the beam
Dunno where you are, but this thing certainly can’t be posted. I may be able to get it off for you but I’d quite like the whole lot to go as its taking up room in my garage!
Let me know if you’re interested …

it is the cloth cover which is riveted around the drogue apeture and covers the chute itself.
Yes, that’s definitely the “Sleeve” then. Any one of the three I quoted above will do you. They’re not always the easiest thing to find, but at least you know what you’re looking for now.
I’ll have a look at the spares I have to see if any are suitable, but I don’t think there are in all honesty.
As for the face screen handle – it is held in the front of the headbox by two conical ‘pegs’ (one each side) which fit into holes in the front of the headbox – see attached. They’re held firm by spring loaded plungers inside the holes (items 15 & 16) so do take a little bit of force to pull out. The handle should just pull straight out though so if it’s not shifting then the spring loaded bit inside is probably corroded and stuck. If you can remove the cover plates (10 & 11) then you should be able to get in there and free them up.

Hi
it is the cloth cover which is riveted around the drogue apeture and covers the chute itself. ours fell apart.
there were no numbers visible on the remains.
one other thing – how does the face screen handle come out/off – i cannot move it

I presume you’re referring to the “Sleeve, Protective” that covers the packed drogue chute? I don’t think I’ve got a correct spare but, if it helps, there are 3 options and their stores refs and Martin Baker part numbers are,
27L/2838 MBEU/217G (Pre Mod 2211)
27L/3054 MBEU/24360 (Mod 2211, Pre Mod 2859)
27L/3508 MBEU/28379 (Mod 2859)
Good luck,
Mark
