JG 26 ww2 color slides on ebay

I hope they go to a museum for all to enjoy…

Fasinating to see colour trans of that era, especially BofB.

Great shots of Gerhard Schopfel taken only a few days after he’d infamously downed four 501 Sqn Hurricanes in the space of a just a few minutes on 18th Aug.
In fact he claimed a 65 Sqn Spitfire in the late evening of the 22nd Aug, so probably only a few hours after these photos were taken.

There’s nothing ridiculous about those prices if they are indeed unique and original transparencies. If the right person sees them, then they will be snapped up quickly. It’s truly sad that they are being split up though. Things like this should be kept together, and properly preserved.

I am no expert in the pricing of slides but feel they are over priced. Not much in the way of signs of them being “snapped up quickly”. If things stay as they are, they will end up being kept together.

Just thought the same when I looked what the seller is asking for.
I doubt anybody will pay that amount.
