I am sure many of the elder brethren remember ‘The book of Westland Aircraft’ published by harborugh Press at the end of WW2, along with their companion volumes; Bristol and Miles, they represented an all time high as references
Recently, I came across an edition that included the Welkin, I had been told that it existed but had never seen one, it would have been nice to have gone one further to complete ‘The Book of Westland Fixed-Wing Aircraft.
I often felt that David Mondey’s book; Planemakers 2, Westland, would have been so much better if the publisher, Janes had let him include 3-view drawings. something he too would have liked to do.

Most interesting, The item up for sale is not a ‘Sales’ Brochure so much as a major company statement produced in-house after the end of WW1.
I don’t know how many copies, but I suspect no more than twenty.
Every director had one and a select few others.
There is one in the Westland Archive (Arthur Davenport’s copy) which has also been digitised, and I have seen Arthur Bruce’s copy which somehow went missing.
That had a couple of interesting pencilled notes quoting the price of each aircraft to the nearest penny. the most expensive was the Vimy at less than £4,500. (Five copies of the book at the eBay asking price!)
