Seconded. I followed on and watched all of the Britain on Film programme – excellent footage. I will have another, slower, look on iPlayer!

I managed to switch on just in time for the closing credits, but this was followed by “Britain on Film”. This programme was about the last days of empire and featured places such as Aden, Hong Kong, Malayasia. It featured colour film of such things as Sea Vixens and a Hunter at a display, a Beverly making a parachute drop and various Helicopters operating over jungle including a camo Whirlwind dropping off troups and a yellow Sycamore landing in a clearing. Quite a lot of aviation content in fact.

1996! Dear old Jeff Ethell (died about 10 years ago in P38) and the late Roger Freeman – worth watching
