What's this

Good morning all
This object came into my possession yesterday…. anyone any idea what it is and what’s it’s purpose?
It’s about 18″ – 2ft long, 2″ diameter at the middle and the ends are identical

Victor parts start 80.

No idea where it goes…..best I can narrow it down to is Fuselage somewhere.
