Visit the Vulcan Days 2013 – dates announced
We will be holding four Visit the Vulcan Days in 2013, the first taking place on Sunday 28 April. The other dates are: 16 June, 11 August and 29 September.

Our Visit the Vulcan Days are extremely popular with enthusiasts and the general public alike. Visitors will have the chance to get a close-up look at XL426 and climb on board to get to see inside the Vulcan’s cramped cockpit. Members of the VRT Team will be on hand to give guided tours of the aircraft, and lunches and liquid refreshments will be available from the nearby Lancaster Bar and Restaurant.

Gates open at 10.00 a.m. on each day with last admission being at 4.00 p.m. Admission prices are yet to be confirmed but VRT Members will be entitled to free admission, including free entry to the cockpit. Entry will be on the same basis as at our Visit the Vulcan Days in previous years – general admission will allow visitors entry to the Vulcan parking area so they can walk around the aircraft, take a guided tour if they wish, and of course take photographs.

An additional and optional fee will buy visitors entry to XL426’s cockpit (below). Cockpit visits are done on a timed ticket basis, so visitors do not have to stand and queue for entry.
Parking details are also to be confirmed but we encourage visitors to arrive by train wherever possible. London Southend Airport station is only three minutes walk from the Vulcan and is served by frequent trains on the London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria line.
Our souvenir stand will be open at each Visit the Vulcan Day selling a selection of Vulcan souvenirs, including badges, patches, photos, postcards, books, t-shirts and much more. If you can’t wait to buy your souvenirs, you can purchase now via our on-line shop – please pay it a visit at http://shop.avrovulcan.com/.
Sorry – no dogs can be admitted except assistance dogs

Excellent! 🙂
Setember 26 is a Thursday, is that right?
Richard.
That should of course be the 29th Richard. A ‘typo’ on the website which I’ve blindly copied over! Measure twice, copy and paste once, or whatever the saying is.
