Brooklands has won the first part of its bid for lottery funding for the Wellington hangar project. They aim to move and restore the building so that the Start/finish straight of the racing circuit can be restored.
Part of the scheme is to build new workshops in which volunteers can be taught restoration skills. Sounds like the similar scheme that operated from Duxford a few years ago. Full article here.

David, the full plans involve building a covered structure for all the airliners, roughly where they currently are parked. But that’s further down the line, after the hangar move project has been completed.
