G’day gents
I’ve just discovered that the USAAF conducted air-launch tests of the JB-2 (Americanized Fieseler Fi 103 – aka V-1 buzz bomb) cruise missiles from Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses & B-29 Superfortresses – I believe in preparation for the invasion of Japan.
Does anyone have pictures of these combinations?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Pioneer

The V-1 (as the KGW-1 ‘Loon’) was also fired from the surfaced US Navy submarine USS Cusk……
