Vulcan 30th Anniversary Heads Up

Borrowing the thread title from the NAM website and the opening line of the news item:

“On Thursday 7th February 2013 it will be thirty (30) years to the date since Avro Vulcan XM594 landed on the former wartime runway at Winthorpe Showground to go on display at the museum.”

Details of how museum visitors can have a free look inside XM594 on Thursday 7th February can be found in the usual location here!

Demand is expected to be high and they’re trialling a ‘timed admission system’ for people to access the cockpit – all detailed in the link above.

I will of course try to get answers to any forumite questions! 🙂

The cake was rather cool – it tasted good as well. 🙂

Just a gentle prompt to any Vulcan fans out there remember that there are now two other Vulcan cockpit open days on 22nd & 28th February 2013. Details via the link in post #5!! 😉
