Lancaster parts wanted- U/C Hydraulic rams

Hi All, We are looking for some more Lancaster Undercarriage hydraulic rams. As used to raise and lower the U/C.
We have the set fitted to the lancaster but require spares and need to get them overhauled and/or parts replaced. If anyone has any or knows of any please do get in touch either by pm or andrew@lincsaviation.co.uk

We are waiting on responses from IWM and RAFM, as far as we know the RAF dont have spares, i am waiting on some contact from some searches in Canada. I just hoped someone used one to prop open their garage door etc 😉

If I am not mistaken did not the BBMF have a similar problem during the major of their lady ??.

I assume you have tried them for suggestions ?.

Then of course their is the obvious IWM Duxford thier machine is pristine if they would do a trade on parts or even they may have surplus.

The RAF Museum may have some stuff

Finally the Canadians do seem to have a big pile of spares

I assume your post means you probably have tried all the above without success ??. I am therefore currently out of ideas but trying to think is the Lincoln Gear any assistance as there are one of two lurking about still.I know
the Shackleton gear is a good bit chunkier.

Only thing Lancaster we have are some arm rests ,some drawings and photo’s of the Canadian Lancs being converted to Lancastrians.
