I don’t think the MD11F has an advantage over the 747F, per se. I just think airlines such as LH Cargo and FedEx are stocking up on 2nd hand MD11’s and converting them to freighters because they are considerably cheaper to purchase than a 747F of equal or lesser age and still have years of service left in them.
