So without incurring the wrath of Moggy by referring directly to a recently locked thread I was intriqued with a late post that mentioned a practice called “Rickrolled”,
so for those who like I may never have heard of it before here is the “best answer” as found via google.
Best Answer.You’ve been Rickrolled!
A ‘rickroll’ is a prank played on an unsuspecting web surfer. To be rickrolled is when browsing a website (especially a discussion forum or comment board), one comes across a link expecting it to lead to one thing, but finds something completely different when the link is clicked.
The name Rick refers to ’80s pop singer Rick Astley. The standard rickroll generally involves someone posting a link claiming it leads to something quite interesting (e.g., hot chicks in panties), but actually linking to a video of Mr. Astley singing “Never Gonna Give You Up.” This is usually considered a major let-down.
And yes I have experienced being Rickrolled, and yes it was considered a let-down, but to be fair I wasnt expecting “hot chicks” to be at the end of the links.
Thanks Flakbait, your first post taught me something I didnt know!

Shall we all join the queue??:diablo: It puts me in mind of the Catholic priests who used to censor the films in Malta ( perhaps they still do). The end result could be a quite extraordinary and sometimes incomprehensible film such was the lack of any attempt to maintain the storyline. But there is no doubt they enjoyed the task with a waiting list of priests to perform the duty!! I wonder what happened to the off-cuts……

Which is precisely why the practice of posting unexplained links is discouraged.
Mind you, you are pretty safe here, in that your valiant mod team check on all of these, sometimes spending many unpleasant hours looking at pictures of unfeasible young females in flesh coloured Mae Wests (or similar) so that we can eventually zap them and save you from the trauma.
