Fleet Air Arm Corsairs

Mk1/MkII folks:

Good day!

While looking for F4U-5NPs, I happened to run into some interesting Fleet Air Arm samples at Quonset Pt NAS c. June 1943. Fm left to right Buno’s XX235 & XX199.Photo via AEC.

Curious to know if any of the Fleet Air Arm samples were fitted with AN/APS-6 or 19A radar in their lifespan?

Tks & have a Happy 2013 folks!!

These are part of a series of colour images of FAA Corsairs taken at Quonset.

No FAA Corsairs had radar AFAIK – they were all F4U-1A/D (or equivalent F3B-1 or FG-1) variants
