As some may know, as part of my ALSE collection, i own 2 Martin Baker ejection seats – a USAF F-4D Phantom II Mk7HAF ejection and a Royal Australian Navy Sea Venom Mk 1F ejection seat.
After 3.5years the F4 seat is nearly completed and $7,000 later 🙂
As of 2013, the Sea Venom seat will be undergoing, strip, overhaul of components and a full ground up restoration hopefully to be completed by early May 2013 if going well for the debut. The 1950s correct type seat parachute harness may be tricky to acquire as long out of production.
I have been offered a F-86 Sabre cockpit to acquire but am discussing with my colleagues…….. just where do i put such a item…..before i commit to a low ridiculous price if i do buy it from them.

Is the seat harness the same as fitted to Canberra seats? There are quite a few of these around.
What does ALSE mean? I did try Google!

If your not sure where to put a cockpit maybe you should consider getting a dog instead !
