My partner and I were in London yesterday to take some photos and we couldn’t resist a second visit to the Bomber Command Memorial.
It’s made all the more poignant by the fact that since our last visit (which was very soon after it was opened) people have left stories and memorials of their family members and loved ones who were involved with the Bomber Offensive.
It’s very difficult to read them with dry eyes…
Anyway, it was an icy evening and the lighting was pretty nice so before my fingers froze I managed a few shots. It’s a beautiful place to visit.

I have to say superbly photographed, it looks stunning at night and brings the geometric ceiling and figures to life, which is so fitting, as most of those guys sacrificed their lives over the darkened skies of Germany to bring us the freedom we have to day, just a shame that it’s not cared for on the public purse… Something this Country at least owes them.
