It's good to be back!

I wasn’t sure whether or not to return but on reflection realised that I have enjoyed my short time here a great deal and decided to put the events of last few days behind me.

It has been odd to have been banned alongside such illustrious members and I understand how many of you have said “charlie…who?” I do not know what I wrote that caused such anguish and it no longer matters, but as one who spends much of his time learning rather than teaching, it has been a salutiary experience.

I arrived here in October having been an observer for many months as a cousin of mine, no longer with us, was a keen member and in a way passed his mantle to me.

I have pledged to stay away from subjects about which I know little, but will continue to absorb the knowledge imparted on here by the seasoned old timers!!

And my thanks to those of you who did include me in your strong support for the three of us. I sincerely hope my fellow “bannees” will return because the Forum will be the poorer for their absence.
