Hello folks,
can anyone confirm the type of Gun Camera which would have been fitted to our Hunter F.2 – I was told it was the standard G.45 (ie Spit, Hurri etc WW2) type but othe sourced reference a G.90….can anyone confirm either way?
Also looking for an EKCO radar ranging unit and drogue chute cover for an MB MK 2H seat…

As Firebex has rightly stated, there were a few different types of the G45, so if you want to be accurate, make sure you obtain the correct one!
I’m pretty sure the one you will require is the G45 / 14A-380 model as fitted to the Vampire and Hunter… Please check this though as I don’t have my reference books available right now!

Just be careful with the G45 gun camera if you want to be 100% correct there are about 5 different versions of it and would you believe they all appear on ebay as Spitfire some are 12 volt some are 24 volt some have the kings crown and AM arrow and others have part or no markings go for the right stores reference number for your aircraft if you can. They where fitted to so many different aircraft from ww2 right up to 1960’s jets.I will check the couple we have on the shelf to see if they are any good for you I know they are not spitfire but I think they are Vampire unless the vampire and Hunter used the same one if so and we have one PM me and you can have it for what we paid for it (NOT LOTTERY NUMBERS)

Yes, G45 though pretty sure G90’s were fitted to the latter marks and possibly some of the export types.
My F.4 has a G45 camera so an F.2 wouldn’t have a later type.
