According to the ‘other’ mag this is nearing completion at Brockworth – Has anyone seen it recently and how much is outstanding?

I thought that the Imperial 42 project had sourced 4 Jupiters for their reproduction – whatever became of that – or is it still quietly progressing?
I also see that Retro Air and Track have a potentially airworthy ex-Finnish project available – seems a natural for Old Warden if they have some dosh to spend.

There are a very few potentially airworthy Jupiters around.

That’s a stunning piece of work – well done to all concerned. An exquisite little aeroplane…

The Jet Age Museum’s Gamecock made the short journey from Brockworth to the new museum today. The plan is to re-rig her next weekend.

The Jet Age Museum reproduced a large set of Gamecock drawings.
Indeed they did, sadly however they have now passesd them to Retro Track and Air in exchange for a Crumpled Tyhoon fwd fuselage. I asked the question when down looking over their Gamecock earlier this year. They have given R,T & A sole use of them and although they have been approached no joy as yet.
Also the Jet Age Drawings have not been stressed so until they are they are not of any use for a flyer untill they are.

Slight drift from the thread, but does anyone know if there are any drawings etc for the Grebe?? We had then out here in the antipodes in the early 30’s and “twould be good to get something for the RNZAF Museum.
Hi Stan. Drawings etc for Gamecock and Grebe are hard to come by!! If you find anything at all I would be very Interested for an on going project. The AP’s for both Gamecock and Grebe are available and contain much usefull information. If needs be I can let you have a copy of both.

re;
I’m no expert, but she looks great. Be good if she could be trucked to Old Warden for an appearance.

The picture on the website shows pretty much the current state. There are several small underside panels, navigation lights and a few minor cosmetic tweaks required. The next major step for the aircraft will be dismantling prior to moving to the permanent home at Staverton.

Must be minor detailing work as I was hard pressed to spot any areas of outstanding work when I saw it towards the back end of August.
