My old dad was based at WG doing his national service in the late 40s, on the camp Was Mossie, totally intact on its wheels with 90% of the instruments and just the engines and cowlings missing so basically bare firewalls, Does anyone know the history of the Mossie and its ultimate demise? I would be grateful for any info and in particular any photos, My Dad often talks of his time on camp and his friday afternoon ‘ops’ in the Mossie!
