Seen on ebay is a RAF E type late WW2/early 1950s model flight helmet – with seller saying it was once used by famous RAF and warbird pilot Ray Hanna.
Would be good if indeed true to see this go to a good collection…

It’s highly likely as the chap selling them is the chap who used to look after the flying equipment for OFMC

Looking at the price it fetched I don’t think anyone believed it was Ray Hanna’s helmet. Bit off if it was, a desert helmet in Germany.
