Anyone with a passing interest in US high altitude flightgear may want to see this stunning book just released by NASA covering 1940 modern day flightgear for pilots.

500+ pages but it is a superb read with many photos.

Is it only available as an ebook?
Quite possibly.
For years NASA published high quality monographs, as a kid I had one about wind tunnels at Langley.
These days I can guess they still have historians doing work, but making them available as e-books saves a lot of money.
BTW: I know the author from his works on the B-36.
